King Edward laid the foundations stone of Bangor University college buildings, then went to Ireland and thence sailed direct to Cardiff to open new docks and visited Caerphilly castle.

Sailed to Cardiff in the Victoria and Albert. Arrived in Cardiff on Friday 12th and were entertained on board by a choir of 40 ladies dressed in National Welsh costume under Mme Hughes Thomas.
Saturday 13th Opening the docks. Entertained by the Cardiff Festival Choir (under Dr F.H. Cowen) and the Royal Welsh Ladies’ Choir (under Madame Clara Novello Davies)
