Residents of north-west Pembrokeshire seems to have made an effort to keep their Welsh hats. Many appear in photograph taken at the visit of the Duke of Edinburgh in 1882; at the centenary of the Fishguard invasion in 1897 and at the arrival of the Mauretania in 1909.
